Sometimes I get the impression that Martina's only job in this comic is to look annoyed and sigh at whatever Felicity says. Then I remember that I've got far grander plans for her in a couple of issues, so its all good.

Felicity is telling Mayre about a time shortly after she and Martina first met. It's a tale I never wrote down - it's just a part of the ridiculously complicated backstory I've written for everyone. Really, my universe is too meticulously detailed for its own good. I mean, I know tons of crap about my characters that no one could ever possibly care about. In this instance, Martina appears to have won the 2000 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Presumbably, Felicity and Martina's sister were ejected by security shortly thereafter.
