News For 2010-09-09

Alright, ladies and gents, welcome to update number two of the OMG I HAD TO GO INDIE crisis (or, as my friend BJ has dubbed it, Troutgate). As you may or may not have noticed, I've added the "RSS Feed" link back to the navigation bar. That's because (surprise!) I got a great RSS feed working now. It's WAY better than the old feed and should work without incident. It contains the latest newspost, as well as a LINK to the latest comic. It doesn't contain the comic itself, however, because a) giant comic book pages would look stupid on your friends page, and b) I sadly need as many people to visit the site itself as possible so that I can scrap together more ad revenue. Let me know if there's anything horribly wrong with the feed itself - I don't use RSS feeds, so I'd be unaware if it didn't work right.

Next up, anyone who donated five or more dollars to the cause during July will, in a couple of days, be receiving an EXCLUSIVE "Delusionary State" short story in their mailbox. I'm polishing it off as we speak. It's short and somewhat lacking in action, but I think it's pretty darn funny. I hope you will too.

The donation bonus for August is a bit larger in scope, but still costs only five (or more, if you're feeling particularly generous) dollars. Not only will I send you all 38 pages of "Vigilante Ho" - which hasn't been available in its "complete" form for years now - but I'll ALSO send you a good chunk of that scripts for VH that were written by me but never actually drawn by my lovely co-creator, Meaghan. She got so busy with real life that the rest of the VH story could never be told. Though its a shame that these scripts will never have any pretty pictures to go with them, they're still REALLY funny and I think you'll enjoy them. These "Vigilante Ho" scripts have never been seen by anyone other than Meaghan and myself, so this is a pretty rare opportunity. Don't pass it up! Just hit the "Donate" button next to the comic and enjoy western crimefighting at is girliest.

Finally, I'll remind you of my new discussion forum. Several people have registered already and it warms my cold, cold heart. Sign up to chat about today's comic, last week's comic, or even comics that don't yet exist. I'll see ya there.
