As several of you have already noticed, I refuse to draw Monkey Penis. There's no rational explanation as to why the monkeys are genderless in the comic itself. I think my stock excuse in the aforelinked comments is good enough - the monkeys are wearing extremely tight and constricting underwear which has the exact same texture and appearance as the rest of their body.

There. A perfectly reasonable explanation as to why I'm not drawing monkey dongs. And now, without further ado:

What The Hell Is John Reading NOW?

I finally finished the Baum Oz books with "Glinda of Oz." It took me a while to read because I kept getting distracted by other things. It's rather odd that my mind kept wandering, considering that it's one of Baum's best books, albeit his FINAL book as well. It was published months after his death.

I've no specific notes on the book itself. It isn't bad enough for me to rip on and there's nothing fantastic really worth noting, outside of "it was a pretty good read." The only negative I could mention is that it has a billion superfulous characters that do nothing. They're just sort of there in the background, watching things happen. I mean, I understand why - Baum wanted to show every major character in Oz in this, what he knew would be his final book. But of the rescue party formed in the book's second half, only Glinda and the Wizard ever do anything. The ten or so other people are just occasionally mentioned in passing. It's messy writing, if nothing else.

It's a good tale nonetheless though, as the extra baggage never gets in the way. Now, onto other tales...
